WIAW-Lunch on the Go

by admin on February 13, 2013

good morning!

Peas and Crayons

happy WIAW!  Back to loving your veggies month..I didn’t get too many veggies into yesterday’s eats but overall I’ve been pretty good about it!

Breakfast

photo 1

I know this is a recycled picture but I’ve literally had egg white oats with peanut butter for breakfast every.single.day. recently. It is just the best combination ever. In the bowl is 1/3 cup oats, 1/2 sliced banana, truvia, cinnamon, 2/3 cup water. Then I add in 3 tbsp egg whites and microwave them for another 1.3 minutes. Then a big dollop of peanut butter on top!

I normally get on Breakfast kicks where I have the same thing for breakfast every single morning until I get sick of it. Do you ever get on breakfast kicks?

Lunch

I packed lunch with me for class because I didn’t have time to go home between after class and a meeting I had following.

A yogurt mess seemed like the easiest thing to pack. In the mix went 1 cup plain greek yogurt, 1/2 banana, a couple strawberries, a pinch of truvia, and a scoop of peanut butter. Peanut butter mixed in greek yogurt is awesome

I also had an orange I didn’t snap a picture of

Work Out

So yesterday my body was back to feeling some what normal after sorority recruitment last weekend (even though I still don’t have a voice and sound like a man..sexy I know..) so I was finally able to get in a good work out!

I completed workout 3 of the fitnessista winter shape up program, followed by 15 minutes of jump rope HIIT. Which looked a little like this. 5 minutes of 40 seconds on, 20 seconds rest, followed by 8 minutes of 20 seconds on 10 seconds rest.

It felt great to get my sweat on!

Snack

after a quick shower I realized I was starvinggg. Enter snack time!

photo 2

I know some of you may think this is so gross lol but I had some cherry tomatoes, snap peas, and cottage cheese with lots of sriracha on top. I love cottage cheese because its such a filling snack

Dinner

Mexican night!!

photo 3

I made crock pot salsa chicken (in the crock pot went 4 chicken breasts, 1 jar of salsa, and 1/2 packet taco seasoning on low for 7 hours). To build my burrito bowl I had brown rice, black beans, peppers and onions, and guac. All topped with sriracha. SO GOOD. I also had a few tostitos on the side :)

Dessert

my last chobani bite..I think I need to buy more of these because I’m in love.

****

On my agenda for today is to work out in a little (25 minutes of tabata followed by an ab circuit), and then get ready and go to class!

I hope everyone has a great day!

I used to put cottage cheese in my salads, but I’ve never had it plain as a savory snack!!

I would never think to put sriracha sauce on cottage cheese. That sounds like a yummy combination! And that burrito bowl…you really cannot beat that!
