The Thanksgiving Feast!

good morning!

anyone else still in a food coma from yesterday?! because I definitely am!

yesterday I spent a lot of the day cooking in the kitchen! I was in charge of making the apple crisp, roasted butternut squash and sweet potatoes, and green bean casserole

First up was the apple crisp. I used this recipe from Ambitious Kitchen and OMG. best apple crisp i’ve ever had! seriously.

I even had it for lunch yesterday. Yup for lunch. I just had to make sure it tasted okay you know?

We had a really small group for thanksgiving this year (just 5 of us) so I didn’t feel guilty about breaking into the dessert before it was actually time to do so

yesterday happy hour came early

and we put out the cheese tray around 3

then came time for the star of the show to come out of the oven. The turkey!

and before I knew it, it was time to eat!

I loaded my plate with a bit of everything (obviously). I had turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, roasted sweet potatoes and butternut squash, stuffing, cranberry sauce, corn casserole, and green bean casserole (which I made using this how sweet eats recipe!)

I was SO FULL after eating this plate.

I did manage to have a wee bit more apple crisp..which totally put me over the edge

I had such a wonderful thanksgiving..I am so thankful for my amazing family and friends in my life I could not ask for a better day to celebrate them all

Question for ya!: What was your favorite part of thanskgiving dinner?

Its hard to choose just one thing but I LOVE the turkey with the gravy. yum.
