Cold Weather=Hot Oats

by admin on November 5, 2012

good morning!

How is everyone this morning? I just took my accounting exam and I think it went pretty well (fingers crossed!)

Want to know two things I don’t understand?

1. How it’s already November

2. How it went from being hot to FREEZING in about 2 weeks time

I feel like I went from walking around campus sweating from unnecessary hot weather to freezing my booty off in 40 degree weather

so cold weather has called for hot oats the past 2 mornings

yesterday’s oats consisted of

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 banana
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 packet truvia
  • pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 of a crumbled banana chocolate chip muffin mixed in (SO good)
Yesterday Molly and I went to go do some work, but first I had to stop at Starbucks to get a second cup of coffee because..
holiday cups at Starbucks are already here!!
SO exciting! my hot beverage of choice is grande non-fat misto with 1 pump pumpkin syrup
just the right amount of sweetness and pumpkin flavor..yum!
for lunch yesterday I had a soup and half sandwich combo after getting back from the gym
this is such a good combo: 1 piece of toast, avocado, 1 hard boiled egg, and sriracha sauce
there is nothing better than a perfectly ripe avocado..and this one was PERFECT
dinner last night was very easy and semi-homemade
I used a package of Trader Joes stir fry veggies and frozen edamame and mixed that together with some cooked brown rice and salmon
I buy frozen salmon fillets and just bake them in the oven. And of course I drowned this in sriracha sauce because in my opinion that’s the only way to eat a stir fry :)
Monday’s are always crappy, but I get school off tomorrow for Election day so its makes this day seem more enjoyable :)
I hope everyone has a great day!

Question for ya!: What is your favorite warm drink from Starbucks?
