Cleaning out my Closet

hi!

remember when the Eminem song “Cleaning out my Closet” came out?

well I do.. I was in fourth grade and everyone in my class was so obsessed with the album because it was the “cool” thing to like

so naturally since I wanted to be cool I memorized all the lyrics to every song..even though I had zero idea how inappropriate it all was

i imagine when I was singing the song “cleaning out my closet” I invisioned him going through his clothes closet.. and actually cleaning it

what does this have to do with anything? well nothing really

except for the fact that i conquered cleaning the closet in my room that was filled with nothing but shit..pardon my french.

i mean you know that drawer you have somewhere in your house that is proclaimed the “junk drawer” and is just filled with a bunch of random crap

well this was the equivalent. since this closet was out of sight, it was out of mind until I realized I need to get some kind of head start on cleaning this apartment and packing everything up

so that was the before

and this is the after!

ta da!

3 large trash bags later and its fresh as new..and it only took me about 20 minutes to do

my sudden urge to clean this closet was due to the fact that I’ve been feeling really overwhelmed lately between the 5 exams I have next week (EEK) and the fact that I am leaving in 9 days..STRESSfull

but I just need to take this day by day and trust that I am going to get everything done. if there’s a will there’s a way as they say

okay onto more interesting stuff

my lunch yesterday was SO good

a salad beast with leftover grilled chicken, roasted veggies, grape tomatoes, spinach, cottage cheese, mango salsa, and siracha hot sauce

best combo evaaaa

also my friend Becki made my day yesterday when she brought me an empty almond butter jar!

she knows how much I love OIAJ, so she brought me her empty jar which led to my delicious breakfast this morning!

the jar was prettty darn emtpy so I added in a little scoop of almond butter for good measure:) and some chocolate chips:)

time to go catch up on blog reading and then go to class
