New clothes and yummy food!

Good morning!

Long time no talk huh?

So i’m awake at 7am right now because I fell asleep at 930 last night..don’t judge me.

I clearly am going to need to adjust my time clock before I go to Miami on Tuesday for Spring Break!!

So lets recap the past couple of days shall we?

Friday I went to my Nanny’s house in the afternoon

It was such a beautiful day! When we got there we went to Starbucks for an afternoon coffee (I got a iced passion ice tea..my fav!)

And at night we went out to dinner to Clarke’s Cookhouse, which is right in downtown Newport

We were originally going to go to my favorite restaurant in Newport, Salvation Cafe..but apparently they decided to close shop until May!! I was so upset!

After a little bit of drama deciding where to eat..we ended up having a lovely meal!

I started off with a shrimp cocktail appetizer

And for my meal I got the Vegetable Korma

It was a mix of different indian spiced dishes, there were lentils, a tomato pea dish, spiced cauliflower, a zucchini pancake, and spiced eggplant..all served with basmati rice that had golden raisins in it

gah this was so good! I didn’t even make a dent into the dish so we brought back a lot of leftovers..unfortunately my mom and I forgot to take our boxes back with us when we left yesterday morning:(

Saturday morning we hit the road pretty early and made a pit stop at our favorite coffee shop/bakery Annie D’s!

I got a Raisin Bran muffin heated up

So freaking good..the muffin was the perfect size..not too big..and had the perfect amount of sweetness

And of course i got an ice coffee as well

they have amazing ice coffee!

Yesteday I headed to the mall with my brother and we went out to lunch at the Met Bar. I got a veggie burger in a bowl and failed to take a picture of it..it wasn’t that great so you didn’t miss much

but then afterwards i went shopping!:) And got some good stuff!

I got this dress from Anthropologie

i got a pair of boyfriend jeans from Rugby with a giftcard I had

And i got the top from a local store here and shoes from Nordstroms..this was the outfit I wore out to dinner last night!

We went to a really good Sushi/Japanese restaurant called Basho

To start we all got Martinis..I got a dragon berry martini it was delicious!

Then I let my Dad do all the food ordering for the most part and we ended up with a delicious spread!

Some kind of spicy tuna mixture on a fried rice cake..So good!

Sashimi and the “Summer Roll” which had avocado, cucumber, tobiko, and spicy tuna

And this beautiful baby was the “Crunchy Roll” I don’t even know what it was but it was amazing..and I know it was topped with some kind of mango sauce..GAH. I freaking love Sushi

And once you go to a GOOD sushi place after you’ve been eating cheap college sushi..it makes SUCH a difference

And since both me and my Dad have a major ice cream sweet tooth we made a pit stop at JP licks on the way home

I got a small half pb chip and half oatmeal cookie frozen yogurt..JP licks is the BOMB..if you’re in the Boston area i highly encourage you look up a local JP licks to go to!

WOW longest post ever!

On the schedule for my last full day home is a mani/pedi and relaxing! I was going to maybe go see the Hunger Games later (I’m DYING to see it!!) but I might save that for another time so I can stay home and cuddle with my dogs:)..sad but true lol
