WIAW-Crack Brownies

by Chelcie on February 15, 2012

Hi and happy WIAW!

Since yesterday was Valentines day..I decided it was acceptable to bake the most amazing, yet bad for you, brownies EVER. literally best thing i’ve ever made..by far

But before I get to the brownies..lets go through what I ate first shall we?

I already showed you what I ate for breakfast yesterday..but here it is again..it was chocolatey and delicious

A couple hours later I was hungry again..weird..but I was about to go to the gym to work out so I just ate a mini luna bar to hold me over until after

ignore my ugly thumb..these mini luna bars are awesome! I am pretty picky with granola bars but I am really a fan of these

Lunch pretty much consisted of the minimal food that was left in our fridge before we went grocery shopping yesterday

It turned out being a pretty decent combination

In the bowl went some mixed greens, quinoa, cottage cheese, peppers, and a veggie burger…topped with some hummus and balsamic vinagrette..this combination kept me full for a while!

Well until I made these that is..

I got the idea to make these from Pinterest  (obvs) but I added my own little twist by adding in peanut butter m&m’s and peanut butter

Here’s how I made them..I used both brownie mix and chocolate chip cookie mix..I pressed the prepared cookie dough in the bottom of a 8 by 8 inch baking pan

Then I added in a layer of oreo cookies

Then I prepared the brownie mix and added in some peanut butter m&m’s and poured the mix carefully over the oreo cookies..GAH

Then of course I couldn’t stop there and had to swirl some peanut butter on top..I baked this beautiful masterpiece at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes

I ate about 1 and a half of these throughout the day..HANDS DOWN the best thing I’ve ever made..like ever..and did you notice the cute valentines day sprinkles on top? :)

Crack Brownies

Makes about 9 brownies

  • 1 box fudge brownie mix
  • About 1 cup chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 12 oreo cookies
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter m & m’s
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter

Instructions: Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F. In an 8 by 8 by 2 inch baking pan, place the prepared cookie dough in an even layer. Place the oreo cookies on top of the cookie dough. Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions (with the egg, canola oil, and water) and mix in the peanut butter m&m’s. Carefully pour the brownie batter over the oreos and cookie dough. Swirl the peanut butter on top and bake for about 40 minutes until the center is still slightly gooey. Allow to cool and serve!

I can’t even.. Make these now..you will NOT be sorry..or maybe you will be..depending on how you look at it

For dinner it was me, Molly and our friends Norman and Lindsay..so I made a dish that I knew would please everyone

Baked penne pasta with chicken sausage, peppers, and onions

I had this serving + a little more and some wine alongside:) Just you know the good stuff that comes out of a box..#socollege

I’ll share this recipe with you soon!

It wasn’t the healthiest day of eating, but it sure was a delicious day of eating!

And ps..you MUST make these brownies at some point in the near future..they are almost too good to be true..I gave the rest of them away to Norman to prevent them from being a part of my breakfast this morning:)

I hope everyone has a great day!

Question for ya: What was the best thing you’ve eaten recently?

Mine would DEFINITELY be the crack brownies
